Every two weeks I post a new tip on a wide range of topics that assist attorneys in their practice. Visit here often for solid, useful advice on improving client relations, practice management, time management, overcoming procrastination, marketing, staff management, or whatever issues you may be dealing with. You can also sign up to have these tips delivered to your email box. It's a private, convenient way to quickly get ideas that will help you in your law or professional practice, and I don't share your address with anyone else.
Tip #235
Keep your attitude positive
Everyone prefers to deal with positive people. If you think about it most things can be turned around and seen or said in a more positive light.
- Rather than "I can’t see you until next Wednesday,", try "I can see you next Wednesday."
- Rather than "This won’t work this way," try "Let's see if it will work this way."
- Rather than "I’m overwhelmed," try "I'm getting it done, one step at a time."
- Rather than "I don’t know when this is going to end," try "I'm working on getting to the end of this situation."
You'll feel better and your clients, associates, partners, colleagues, and staff will all appreciate your positive approach.
