Coaching for Lawyers Law Practice Tip

Law Practice Tip #269
January 8, 2012

Plan to achieve your goals

Along with setting your goals, come up with your plan to achieve them. Start with knowing "by when" you want to achieve each goal. Then, working backwards from that date, plan the various actions you'll need to take in order to achieve the goal.

For example: You have a goal to be more organized. "By when" could be March 1, 2012. Some actions to take might be: Use to-do lists daily; schedule time on your calendar to get organized; figure out what "organized" means; set time aside daily to do an organizing task; return everything you use to its original place; learn how to use your technology to help you organize.

You get the idea.

What goal do you want to plan to achieve?
