Coaching for Lawyers Law Practice Tip

Law Practice Tip #292

December 10, 2012

Plan to arrive early and leave late when attending networking events

Give yourself extra time to network at events you plan to attend by arriving early. You'll be able to connect with people in a less rushed and often more meaningful way.

Sometimes we forget that we are going to this event to deepen relationships with people, and we don't give the event the time we should. If one of your purposes for going to the event is to develop business, give yourself the time to be your best self.

Plan to be one of the last people to leave for the same reason. Actually block the extra time in your calendar, rather than thinking you'll leave early.

For what networking event will you schedule an early arrival?
