Coaching for Lawyers Law Practice Tips

Law Practice Tip #306
July 15, 2013

Explain and keep explaining

Don't assume your clients understand you the first time you explained what they can expect in their matter.  Rather assume your clients won't remember.

To handle client expectations you need to clarify and keep explaining what they can expect.  Especially as you learn more as the matter progresses. Don't worry about telling them so many times they get annoyed.  That they understand is what's important.

What are your assumptions about what your clients understand? Are you doing a good job handling their expectations?
